Do you have so much time on you hands to keep going the way you are?
Whenever you hear of the passing away of another person, what comes to mind? Sadness? Delight? Memories? There are always a range of emotions that will flood through our minds but to me, every such news offers a moment for scrutiny and introspection.
One thing therefore that any loss reminds me of is that we only have so much time to do the very good things we are called to do. This can change your perspective on life and living it, as it makes you conscious that ‘you don’t have forever’.
So personally, I find negative emotions hard to sustain: sadness, worry, hate, unforgiveness etc. There is only so much time to love, so why waste it in hate? Life is but a little flower, today it’s here and tomorrow it’s gone. It is filled with small opportunities and often, only moments to leave imprints. You stand to have many regrets if you ignore this gentle truth.
Thus, while it may seem as though you have adequate time on your hands, you don’t have forever: to say Yes to Jesus, change negative habits, to embrace love genuinely and remind yourself that not everyone is out to get you. So make up your mind quickly, even now.
