PICK A SIDE

There was an incident captured on global television where a spectator attended a soccer game wearing the kit of both playing teams, one over the other. When the team whose jersey was the outer layer were losing, he took that off to display that of the opposing team who at this point were winning.

Here is the issue highlighted in the words of Elijah : “

HOW ARE ow long will you keep limping between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him. But if Baal is God, follow him.”(1 Kings 18:21)

There are people with whom you can never really tell where they belong. They have their feet perfectly placed in two often opposing camps. One foot supporting Team A, and the other supporting team B. One eye in light, the other one in darkness, one for God and one for the world. Depending on circumstances, they lean a particular way.

Commitment is never absolute, likewise effort. Hence, a half divided focus results in a half presented outcomes. Beloved, the price for All of anything, is all of you. For the sake of effective and efficient resource utilization, you really have to pick a side. In many of the decisions you will have to make in life, there will be no middle ground: giving or receiving, loving or hating, forgiving or not.

Of the more weightier choices, the apparent stand off situation “If the LORD is God, follow Him. But if Baal is God, follow him ” is important. In that, I dare to make a recommendation” Choose God”
