Colossians 3:1,2 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

There is something about knowing that a specific job is not your responsibility. You really do not care much if its not done and even if you do, the degree to which you do so is quite lessened compared to if you have proper oversight.

Between us and God, we would be more than happy to have H bear responsibility for everything. To have Him be responsible for it all: all our decisions and choices, all our actions, all our inactions, in fact, everything. But we clearly know that would make us carefree, irresponsible and lazy. Simply, we would become the worst custodians of dominion if we had nonsense of responsibility.

Saint Paul begins many verses of today’s chapter with statements such as:
“seek those things above”
“set your minds on things above” and
“put to death earthly desires”

All of the above seem to have nothing to do with God but everything to do with “us”. Responsibility thus is laid at our doorsteps. Therefore, do not expect God to just do by miracle what would be yours to execute as a responsibility. Truthfully, you will only stay waiting when you do.
