‘God works for men through men’. In other words, ‘this is the world of men’. As much as we understand and acknowledge the sovereignty of God, His place as owner and ruler of All, the domain of the earth, this territory, He handed over to man to have dominion (Gen 1:26, 28).

In the account of Jeremiah today, he was presented by the priests and prophets to be handed over to death. In other words, his judgment was to be handed out by men regardless of the fact that he was the mouthpiece of God. But we read in Jeremiah 26:24 “

Nevertheless the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, that they should not give him into the hand of the people to put him to death."

Before Jesus entered full time ministry, we read this about him “And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and men (Luke 2:52). Emphasis ‘with God and men’. In this realm, there is a truth you have to hold firmly: ‘you simply cannot ignore the ministry of men’

Liftings, promotion, growth and many of the things that pertain to life come from the corridors of God, but they are wrought through the ministry of men. Be mindful then how you approach this ministry for

you quickly close the door of your access to
whatever or whoever you dishonour.
