There are many times when it appears a single solution or approach to a matter would provide the answer to every one of such issues. But if there is anything shoe and cloth sizes tell us, it is the reality that ‘One size does not always fit all’. However, we somehow often forget that even in similarity, there are differences.

Our reference text from Ezekiel throws a bit more light on the above: “

I will seek the lost, bring back the strays, bind up the broken, and strengthen the weak; but the sleek and strong I will destroy. I will shepherd them with justice’"(34:16).

Do we notice the different requirements of each group – the lost needed seeking, the strayed needed bringing back, the broken required binding and the weak, strengthening. A one size fits all approach in such a situation would yield minimum results and could be a foundation for complete chaos.

God does different things for different people because their requirements are not the same. Why then would we want to stay in the same box for the entire journey? Our reminder today is this ‘one size does not always fit all’! The same answer that worked for a question yesterday, may not do so today. So let us keep learning to know when change, diversification and improvement beckon. That way, we can meet needs accordingly.
