Acts 4:13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
Don’t think nothing is being watched. Don’t think no one has their eyes on you because truth is, everything you do communicates a specific information which can be perceived.
From interactions with the disciples, two things became perceptible by the rulers and elders: that they were uneducated and that they had been with Jesus. More importantly, the latter status overshadowed the former.
Don’t get this twisted – a dislike for education is not the lesson here for each of the disciples was good at something. What we learn is rather the very fact that what and who we stand for can become evident through the very lives we live.
We are therefore walking advertisements for God, and that is something we ought to pay closer attention to.
