HOLY SATURDAY

LOOK IN THE RIGHT PLACES
Luke 24:5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?
To get fuel for a vehicle, one knows where to go. Thus, you would rarely expect a driver running near empty on fuel to go searching for a pharmacy.
Why look for the living among the dead? This question which the angels asked the women triggers a deeper point of reflection for us. It causes us to ponder on where we go looking for certain things. Not just about the where, but even the whom we go to looking for things.
When you go looking for things in the wrong places, you will find something, only that what you find will not be what you ought to find. If you seek counsel from the wrong places or people, you are likely to be led along paths that steer you away from God’s best.
Therefore, don’t go looking for the living among the dead! Don’t go looking for things in the wrong places.
