Exodus 12:2 This month is the beginning of months for you; it shall be the first month of your year.

Seasons are often divided into blocks of time. It can therefore be a great challenge to accurately predict the exact times when transitions occur from one to the next. But once the transitions happen, we know they have.

For Israel, there was a specific moment when the utterance came ‘today is the first month of your year’. It did not matter then what month marks the start for others, for you, this month is your beginning.

It does seem that we are running after to catch up to those who have the things we don’t or more of what we have. But life needs not really be only about the running after, it ought to ne about recognising when the start of specific seasons of your life is. Because “

when you know how seasons work, you really will envy no man”.
