Reference text: Deuteronomy 26:16-19

When we read the scripture text today, when Israel was making a declaration to obey and walk in the ways of God, they might have expected a smooth journey with clarity about all curves and bends.
Yet, there was reason to be concerned for” Those ways” can be difficult to walk in.

Sometimes, God’s ways make no sense, and other times one appears silly because they seem to be leading nowhere. If anything, they rather seem cumbersome, longwinded and devoid of any fun.

If only we could perceive the mind of God as we wanted to, and if only we could unravel His grande plans for our lives at a single glance. But here lies the mystery: ‘My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.

What we realise though is that from the moment the commitment to this walk was made, God made a counter offer backed with His integrity and track record. He provided a system of provision that would make their decision worth their time.

You may appear to be missing out on a lot of opportunities, but even when it makes no sense, keep your commitment of obedience to God. The rewards are worth the price you pay when you do the math.
