Mark 2:16 And the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

Among the many questions in life that we seek to receive answers to, ‘why’ appears to pose the most probing intent. It seeks to call on us to take a deep dive: whether into the prospects of an unknown future, into the archives of a deep recess of the past or a consideration of prevailing circumstances. Regardless, why always solicits an answer that has to be well thought of.

Many are thus dissatisfied when those questions are ignored or are not answered to their satisfaction because as creatures of the senses, we often cling on until we know ‘why’ or why not.

Even then, there will still be some why questions we will have no answers to until we discover them as time passes. But here is a warning, ensure then that you hold off your anger, your jealousy, and your response when these are dependent on a why question you do not have an answer to.
