GET THE ADDRESS RIGHT
1 Samuel 1:10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.
At work, there are a few members of staff with the same first names. To distinguish then, the initial of their surnames are often mentioned together with their first name. The reason is rather straight forward ‘so information reaches the ears of the one to whom it is intended’. As much as our zeal to petition might be, only the right office can address those petitions as we require.
We continue reading about Hannah and as from the first eight verses in the first book of Samuel, it seems tears were never far from her eyes. But there is a twist today ‘her tears together with her petition l were directed towards God. The outcome is what we read at the end ‘the Lord remembered her and she bore a son’.
Sometimes we don’t get answers or get things done because we are addressing the wrong person or points of contact. As much as something maybe of concern to us, it is important that it reaches the right office. That is why every delivery needs an accurate recipients address.
