DAY 177 OF 365 IN 2021

Matthew 8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

If you open your eyes wide enough, wherever you are planted will expose you to a dimension of God in a way that beats your imagination. ‘Go’ , ‘come’ & ‘do this’: for each of these words, the  centurion we read about expected a response and an action from the person to whom it was spoken.

Through his job, he had clearly come to  understand the power of words and the strength of authority. That opened him up to experiencing the miracle he did. Today therefore, we are thrown reminders of how God can find expression in our lives through our jobs, our walk and our talk.

While on occasions we may fail to see God in our circumstances, His presence is definitely there. In the simplest of activities, in the most seemingly mundane of things, the many faces of God show up and when we realise this, we experience His very best.
