NOT EVERYTHING IS A TARGET

When you stand in a boxing ring, you are not allowed to ‘hit below the belt’. That is to say not everything is a target. When an enemy makes a decision to attack, that attack cannot be on everything at the same time. One has to understand what carries the most weight or what keeps a system ticking. Hit that and it’s truly game over.

When Nebuchadnezzar came to Israel, his mission was clear and his targets predefined.

Nebuchadnezzar also carried off all the treasures from the house of the LORD and the royal palace, He took all of Jerusalem captive, including all the commanders and the best of the soldiers, craftsmen, and artisans—10,000 in all. Only the poorest people were left in the land. (2 Kings 24:13-14)

What he did was to take away resources, wealth, leadership/government, and  creativity, leaving only the poorest of the land. Those left behind did not have the capacity to mount a rescue mission nor rebuild the city they had been left with. That is how the enemy operates.

So be careful while on guard because  there are some things that warrant your jealous guarding more than others. Not everything of yours is a target, only those thing that have strategic operational implications come under attack.
