PLUNGE INTO HIS LOVE

DAY 131

John 15:10 If you keep My commandments [if you continue to obey My instructions], you will abide in My love and live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father’s commandments and live on in His love.

Keeping the commandments is not the same as keeping the law, for from the very start, we know we are set up to fail because it is impossible to keep all the requirements of the law. In fact, even the best of us will still fall short.

To keep His commandments therefore, is to stay within the boundaries and borders of his guidelines. It is an invitation to alignment to the will of God and obedience because it is only true love that bears genuine obedience. That kind of obedience was what kept Jesus on the cross. Not the nails, not the cross, not the soldiers, it was love being expressed through obedience. It was a love that gave it all”.

We have been invited to pitch tent in His love – to abide therein and to make it our habitation. Personally, there’s no place I’d rather be than to abide in the love of God. This love that has width, depth, breadth and length that surpasses the realm of logic and understanding. I invite you also to plunge into it for in there, you will find and receive fulness of joy.
