DAY 61

Esther 4:12 Ever since I was born I have heard in the tribe of my family that thou, O Lord, didst take Israel out of all the nations, and our fathers from among all their ancestors, for an everlasting inheritance, and that thou didst do for them all that thou didst promise.
In 1st John 1:1 ” we are introduced to dimensions in our knowledge of God:
‘That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life
There has to be a stepwise gradation in knowledge, otherwise our results will remain below the levels we rise to. Esther realised the need to transition when her people faced imminent doom. She quickly came to acknowledge that the realm of her knowledge of God ‘I have heard’ was not adequate, but a requirement for ‘I have to experience for myself’ was necessary.
It sounds exciting when you can hang unto and feed on the stories of other people, but stories are not enough to command some of the levels of result your life warrants. In those days, you have to move past I have heard or I have seen, to I have touched and held with my hands. You need experiential knowledge to advance.
The man who only has stories to draw from on the day when experiential knowledge is required is in great trouble.
