DAY 23

Mark 3:24-26 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come.
The words “DIVIDED AGAINST SELF” appears three times in three consecutive verses, and in each of those, the proposed outcome is the same: ‘any kingdom, house or authority divided against itself cannot stand.’
A quick analysis of history in the domain of gaining advantage and conquering other kingdoms proceeded from the ability to exhibit and exert a united front. These included a willingness to follow the same chain of command, submit to same fighting tactics and the desire to commit without holding back to the singular united course.
All of the above is thrown out the window whenever internal strife threatens division. Instead of an “us against the rest”, ‘it becomes us against ourselves with the others against us both’. “Beloved, very few who fight on more than one-front are adequately equipped to stand any likelihood of victory because their efforts are divided.
Indeed then, division is a bane to dominination, expansion, and in very essence, survival itself.
