Luke 21:8 And he said, “See that you are not led astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and, ‘The time is at hand!’ Do not go after them.
Upon a closer look, it appears as though God takes himself entirely out of the picture and lays all responsibility at the doorstep of the man. In fact, a version renders the text ‘don’t let anyone mislead you’.
Our walk with God is not one that isn’t all up to you. However, neither is it all up to God. There is a two fold cooperation where our participatory dimension is a token that is required from us. You can think this way: there are some things which are ours to do as a responsibility and for those things, we cannot expect God to do by miracle.
The reason it is so is because God has made provision for every resource needed in the things that are ours to do. In other words, we have all the facilities at our disposal to execute our responsibilities. So
don’t expect God to do by miracle what you should do as a responsibility.
