The many names of God encapsulate many of the dimensions He has revealed in His dealings with men. Thus, many know God in his name Jireh, the God who provides or as Rapha, the God who heals. Today however, the Psalmist introduces us to another dimension in God which is followed by an exhibition of His Power.
Psalms 24:8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
Among the many things God shared with man, He did not share His ‘Omnipotence’- His ability and capacity to do all. Psalm 62:11 says” God has spoken once, twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God.” The very earth, and its fullness, are His and Yes, He is the custodian of all Power across every age and time.
Beloved, I may not know exactly what you’re going through, but could an encounter with ‘the Lord, Strong and Mighty’ be what you need for resolution? That dimension in God comes to do battle and to wage war. And as a consuming fire, He will not stop raging until victory is assured.
God is merciful, God is love, God provides and God heals, but God is also strong and mighty. Let us therefore engage that dimension of our King of Glory because it is one revealed to us and for us.
