CAN GOD COUNT ON YOU?
Genesis 18:32 Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?” He answered, “For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.”
I know the world is hard and the global climate seems to have turned against faithful witnessing. I know that it is twice as hard to do the good we want to do because the loses outweigh the benefits. Yes, indeed it seems better to jump unto the wagon of the world that to stay consistent with the dictates and standards of God.
In fact, such was the desperation of God regarding the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah that had Abraham proposed a number lower than five, God might have still said Yes and stopped the destruction. It is therefore quite saddening that when ‘ten righteous’ people were required to save these cities, that number could not be found within its walls.
Hence, the question the stems out is: “can God count on you?” Can you be counted on to keep the candle burning in a world where darkness is rapidly gaining ground? Would you still remain one of the ten because of whose presence any destruction to a territory is revised?
There are lot of questions today, but their intention is to clarify one intention: “can God count on you?”
