“MY LIFE IS IN HIS HANDS”

MY LIFE IS IN HIS HANDS

I woke up this morning with a song on my lips ‘my life is in your hands’ – by Kirk Franklin. This isn’t unusual and after reading the text for today, I understood why.

God through the prophet Isaiah uttered these words to Ahaz, King of Judah, when evil was plotted against Jerusalem ‘Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah (7:4).

"You don't have to worry
And don't you be afraid
Joy comes in the morning
Troubles they don't last always
For there's a friend named Jesus
Who will wipe your tears away
So when your tests and trials
They seem to get you down
And all your friends and loved ones
Are nowhere to be found
Remember there's a friend named Jesus
Who will wipe your tears away

And if your heart is broken
Just lift your hands and say
I know that I can make it
I know that I can stand
No matter what may come my way
My life is in your hands”

As you take a moment to ponder on the lyrics above, I pray you find comfort in the arms of Jesus because regardless of what life throws at you, your life is safely hid in His hands.
