BE OF GOOD CHEER

BE OF GOOD CHEER

Acts 23:11 And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as you have testified of me in Jerusalem, so must you bear witness also at Rome.

What a way to encourage someone – “be of good cheer, for there is similar trouble ahead of you in the next city.”

It would have been within Paul’s right to say ‘well, that’s it. No more!’ But he had began a race for which he was all in and was not going to make a dash for the exit at the earliest sign of trouble. He was surrendered.

The encouragement that came from God was His seal to confirm Paul’s alignment, and He nudged him to press forward. Like Paul then, with an equal level of assurance, we can also trust Him to remain faithful to His word. So beloved, be also encouraged and be of good cheer because God’s got your back. Only stay aligned.
