TO BE LIGHT FOR OTHERS, GLOW FIRST
Something I read this afternoon took my mind on a bit of a journey and among the many questions I pondered on was ‘why are people referred to as ‘experts’ in their respective fields never far from the classroom?’ It appears they are rather the keenest of learners, with a childlike curiosity towards knowing more.
One can only well and truly exert influence from a particular reference depending on the amount of personal transformation they have received in that regard. You can become a light for others, to the extent of your individual luminence thus ‘what you can share, is very simply only a part of what you carry’.
“Glowing first then before becoming a light to others” is not just so we can afford to show off, it is so we have the requisite scars and stories to serve as the evidence for our results. It might actually even be more literal than we think ‘if you want to be a light for others, you have to glow yourself’.
