CHOOSE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS

Mark 3:13 And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him.

The message from today is one we are familiar with, albeit in many other forms. It highlights reciprocal choices- two sides choosing, each choosing the other. Jesus called those ‘He wanted’ and ‘they came’.

We are reminded in this scripture to be intentional about our relationships; we should not just allow relationships to choose us, we should also choose them. We therefore cannot let ourselves stumble into any and every alliance and connection.

Being intentional about our relationships will ensure the preservation of our values and lead to the formation of relationships that are valuable and contribute to the purposes of God for us.

So be intentional about the relationships you form.
