A GOD OF INTRICATE DETAIL

Reference text: 1 Samuel 16:1-13

1 Samuel 16:2 And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD.

Samuel was a prophet, but before that he was a man like us. And knowing the heart of men, he perceived that anointing a king when another was on the thrown amounted to career suicide. Even more, it posed a practical risk to his very life itself.

But this is where we see one facet of God come into action: ‘the God of process and the God of intricate detail’. By virtue of His omniscience, He offers answers to all of the worries Samuel had, even how to safely navigate Saul’s probing eyes without conflict.

That is how far God is able to go. He not only knows the what, but also the how. He won’t send you off on a blind  assignment, He will always make sure that every base is covered, every I dotted and every T crossed.
