BUILD YOUR CUSTOMS
6/365
Luke 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
For Jesus, one custom of His was to go to the synagogue on the sabbath to read. Not just because he wanted his hometown folk to know he had arrived, but because it was his custom. It had become a way of living such that if anyone was unsure of where to locate Jesus on the. Sabbath, his location would be fixed on the said day.
It is a lot easier to associate a person with an attitude or an expectation, a firm assurance that regardless of what happens in their surrounding environment, that thing about them will not change. That is a custom.
So by looking at your own life today, what are your customs? What are the habits and attitudes that define your walk? Your walk with God and your walk with others? Mind you, you do not just stumble into customs nor do they come about by sheer luck or coincidence, they are the product of years of consistency and discipline.
