DAY 318 OF 365 IN 2021

Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

We might attach a complex spin on these words with much thought but a short walk through scripture gives a basis for verification of these words of Jesus. In the beginning, creation was spoken into being when Elohim said “Let there be”. The writer of Hebrews then draws our attention to the place of the word in creation when he wrote ‘The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact expression of His nature, sustaining all things by His powerful word (Heb 1:3).

Therefore, the Word that brought forth creation, outlives that creation for those words are Spirit and they are life. Thus when we read that ‘In Christ, His promises are yes and Amen,’ those words should take a special place in our hearts. They are eternal words with heavy weight that come with guaranteed fulfilment because every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God returns only after it has fulfilled that for which it was sent.

So beloved, you can comb through the word and identify all of God’s promises. You can search His heart and find out all He has said concerning you and you can can be sure they are many. When you find those, cling on to them with the guarantee that He is not a man to lie, but a God who is able and willing to do all He has said. In his word, you can trust.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but his words will not because the words that brought forth creation, must outlive what is created.
