NO ONE IS WRITTEN OFF

DAY 253 0F 365 IN 2021

NO ONE IS WRITTEN OFF

1 Timothy 1:13 Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.

It’s difficult to beat Paul’s list, he seemed like the one guy who would be on top of his class in many divisions. Even when he was not in the service of God, he was unreservedly dedicated to what he knew was right therefore, his list should not surprise us. Many of us are no where close to attaining any of the accolades he had, whether negative or positive but here he laid a few big ones out and referred to his old self as: a blasphemer, a persecutor a violent, arrogant and insolent opponent.

Those are traits which in expression, will push people away, yet it does appear God was the last to arrive at the party. In spite of this “not so attractive portfolio”, He deemed Paul worthy to be called into his service. The question we would have asked God at the time of admitting Paul into His vineyard would have been ” what does He see that we do not?

By looking then at the life of Paul including his ministry and other services rendered to the body of Christ, the answer to the preceding question is a big and emphatic ” He sees everything we do not”. That is why nobody is written off where God reigns.
