DAY 206 OF 365 IN 2021
STAY POSITIVE ANYWAY
If there is something I realised today, it was the fact after two years of restrictions and lockdowns, I really missed church. I remain connected to the fellowship of believers, but the sense of actually walking into the place of worship personally brings a feeling that is difficult to explain. Once I see that cross, it’s almost as if nothing else matters – there is a peace and calm that words can’t explain and I always know that there is a unique message that will be spoken from the altar that touches home.
Today was no different, the message was a collection buttressing Paul’s charge to the church in Ephesians ‘live lives worthy of the vocation to which you have been called (Eph 4:1)
And I want to share this with you:
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway”
