ALL THINGS ACCOUNTED FOR

DAY 191 OF 365 IN 2021

ALL THINGS ACCOUNTED FOR

Matthew 10:30 God even knows how many hairs are on your head.

When plans are put in place, executors do their best to account for any contingencies – unforseen  circumstances that could be perceived as threats to the success of the project. So when a project supervisor says ‘everything has been accounted for, the last thing one expects is a surprise that throws a spanner in the works.

Yet today, this is the message we receive: ‘ everything has been accounted’.

Concerning your life and mine, God [the author of life] has dotted every ‘I’ and crossed every ‘T’. Each single detail has been taken into account.

How do we know? Because God has gone the further step of accounting even for the number of hairs on every single head.

I know this might seem like a metaphor to express how much God cares about us, like in 1 Peter 5:7 ‘lay all your anxieties at his door for He cares affectionately for you’. However, you can be confident that those words of Jesus is no metaphor, it is very literal ‘The very hairs of your head – the total number of individual strands is known and accounted for.

We may not be sure how things will turn out or if we will even have all our needs met. We may have no idea what tomorrow brings, the hidden battles and storms, the stresses and disappointments yet in one thing we can be certain ‘it is in the hands of the master of detail.’ Beloved, God has and will continue to work things out with immaculate detail that will prompt us to accept these words as true ‘even the very hairs of your head are numbered’.
