Acts 13:15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
Today’s text was an invitation for exhortation and encouragement from Paul and his company while in Perga. I also wish to respond to this invitation to share with you some words of exhortation from excerpts of a book I am currently reading. I hope it builds you up and grants you some encouragement even when your head is bowed down
‘You were not created to live an average life. You have seeds of greatness on the inside. You were created to be a history maker and you’re not supposed to live and die with nobody even knowing you were here. You were created to leave your mark on this generation’
‘God has an assignment for you that nobody else can fulfil. God needs you. He needs your gifts, your smile, your love, your and your passion. That’s why He gave them. You are part of His divine plan. You have something to offer that nobody else can offer because nobody else has your exact personality or your exact looks. There is something unique about you.
‘There is nothing ordinary about you. You have the finger prints of God all over you. The creator of the universe breathed His life into you and crowned you with His favour. You have royal blood flowing through your veins. You have a destiny to fulfil, something greater than you’ve ever imagined. So put on new labels: ‘masterpiece, valuable and one of a kind’.
(Think better, Live better.. Joel Osteen)
So be encouraged beloved for you are loved.
