As we head into the final week of April and the end of the first quarter of the year, here is a sharing of two lessons picked up so far:
1. Your mind attracts the things that reflects its level.
This sounds very vague, but look at it this way: ‘you are drawn to things you are less likely to struggle to hold on to’. Whenever one aspires for more, they have to alter a number of things. When a taxi driver wants to fly a plane, they need to acquire a pilots licence. Therefore, it should be no surprise that the same taxi driver will struggle to find his way into the cockpit of a plane.
Therefore, for every dimension of life we struggle to enter, if the door is not being blocked as Paul highlighted ‘for there is a wide door opened for me, although many oppose me’ (1 Cor 16:9), then perhaps it is time to check if you are ready to walk through. Skill wise? Strength-wise? Knowledge-wise? Have you prepared enough to step into those dimensions? Jesus and John are the perfect examples look up to.
2. If you have not prayed, don’t trust the results you see.
Sounds strange but that is a harsh truth. Prayer is a jealous holder that is capable and able to keep what it gains. When anything has been secured in prayer, regardless of what happens in the natural, it is guaranteed to arrive, just like the prayer of Daniel. So if you are awaiting anything, searching for something or holding on to something, if it is not secured in prayer, it remains ‘losable’.
