Luke 11:22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
Parking the bus became is a term that connotes the unwillingness of a team to commit bodies forward in attack in preference of staying disciplined defensively. On some days, such teams are virtually impossible to overcome regardless of whatever forms of attack are thrown at them- they just wouldn’t break.
It is not an issue that you are under attack, that is a reality you will come to face on all fronts every step of the Christian journey. It is an indicator that all the forces are not going to sit by idly as you waltz your way into the best things of God. Yet today, another word falls into the frame of this picture-overcome.
Therefore, what matters is really not the fact that you are under attack, but the entrenched divine proclamation that guarantees that you will not be overcome. For indeed although they shall fight against thee; they shall not prevail against thee; for God is with thee, to deliver thee (Jeremiah 1:19) That is the word of the Lord.
