Reference text: Psalm 145

Psalms 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

God is good ALL the time, and ALL the time, God is good’.

This is one statement I am very familiar with but like some others, it cannot be found explicitly in scripture.
Nonetheless, it can be traced to foundational texts which confirm the very nature of God. As one who is unchanging: the same yesterday, today and forever, as one who was, who is and who is to come, the nature and identity of God remains one. Therefore, His goodness, also remains.

The word ‘ALL’ dominates the Psalm today and sheds some more light on this facet of God. This adverb is used in reference to the whole quantity- entirely, utterly, and outright. That is to say, at every single moment in time: in every respect, without reservation and without exception, God is good. We can go as far as saying He has been good and He will be good.

You have your testimony and you are a living witness of the goodness of God. Your life has been a vineyard of God’s goodness and you still are expectant because you know more good is on the way. Beloved, those who have tasted, have seen the goodness of the Lord. Those who have remained faithful, have experienced his marvelous hand at work and those who have waited in patience, have seen his hands opened to them.

The opening statement is indeed the best way to put it, and the one invitation you need to approach His throne: without exception and without reservation- God has been good, God is good and God will be good.
