Reference text: Luke 12:1-7

Luke 12:7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Even though we expect perfect performance from technology, there is always the likelihood of that one moment when things just don’t go according to plan. I recall reading about a global glitch with Instagram some weeks ago resulting in the app not functioning as expected for approximately an hour. Like similar problems with other social media platforms, this sparked a near worldwide ‘chaos’, with some in Australia going as far as contacting the police to report this incident.

This may cause you either to open your mouth in surprise or pass a few giggles, but it also ought to set your mind thinking: ‘what was the value of this platform to those who couldn’t bare going without it for an hour?’ As I thought about it, this occurred to me: ‘the worth of an item can very easily depend on the eyes of the person who estimates its value.

In my life, I have seen the emergence of many new professions, but that of a’ professional hair tracker’, I am yet to come across. Nonetheless to God, we are such high value assets that He has already created this job portfolio and assigned it to Himself. Therefore, not only does he intentionally keep track of our daily routine by knowing our going out and coming in, today He gives us an even deeper dimension.

Beloved, the fact today in plain and simple terms is this: God literally, keeps track of each strand of hair on our head. When something or someone is of value, you always keep them in view so nothing goes off track, that is how far God goes with us. So my dear, cheer up because you’re more precious than you think. Just look through the eyes of God.

Remember # because God delights in you, He never takes his eyes off you, His precious jewel .
