Isaiah 49:3 And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
The message renders the text above as ‘you are my dear one through whom I’ll shine’. This presents to us a proposal that God desires us to cooperate with him as channels that radiate his glory.
The kind of radiance that God seeks to emanate through us is the kind that has the potential to draw others into His presence. Our shine will thus not be of us, but it will proceed from God himself because we are like light bulbs. What people see is a brightness that will be absent without a source of power.
God does not intend to make us laughing-stocks. We ought to bear in mind that He also has his ‘image to protect’. He wants all men to have one look at you and not ask ‘ where your God is’, but instead, they will say ‘we can see the glory of God in you and working through you’.
All you have to do is make room to cooperate with him. It has never been about what you have to show off- but rather what God wants to show off to the world through you; so just shine and show off to all that your God reigns.
Remember # allow God to shine through you.
