Mark 12:1 Then Jesus began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a wine vat, and built a watchtower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey.
The easiest part of the chain discussed in the Gospel was ‘planting the vineyard’. Beyond this, there had to be considerations of protection, productivity and personnel. Those are the core elements that ensure that the planted vineyard achieved it’s intended objectives.
Becoming successful, in this context depicted by ‘planting a vineyard’, is not as challenging as preserving that success. In simple terms, it takes more to preserve, than to establish. Many rush into attaining success across many spheres without consideration of the mechanisms required to sustain or maintain.
There will always be at least three Ps that garrison or underguard sustained success,
1. Protection – of focus and resources
2. Productivity – continued provision of value or service that is needed, and
3. Personnel – the human capital required to hold and advance sustained effort.
In the absence of any of these, no true success stands a chance of being preserved.
