SHIFT YOUR PERSPECTIVE

This morning, I took an alternative different bus route to work and for the first twelve minutes, I wondered if it might be better to just get off the bus and take another heading along my normal route. The traffic situation meant we had covered about 300 meters in the ten minutes. I had about ten times that distance to cover in total.

However, after twelve minutes covering just over 10 percent of the journey, all the traffic seemed to dissipate and the remaining 2700 metres of the journey  was covered in the same amount of time it took to cover the first 300 meters.

In such situations as the first half, it is very easy to become so tensed and frustrated with your choice. Instead, I took a deep breath and thought “I will simple enjoy the views today – a shift in perspective”

The longest document storm is Tropical cyclone Freddy, and it lasted 36 days. Most storms average days, often with reducing intensity. There are some storms you speak to for them to be still and they obey. Yet, there are others you simply have to buckle up, pitch your tent and wait them out. It’s not every time that jumping off the slow bus to take another one is the best call. Sometimes, you stay onboard that bus and shift your perspective. The traffic eases up further ahead.
