Luke 17:20 Now having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed or with a visible display;
Stability is founded on predictability. In fact, order thrives in the presence of predictability: knowing when the bus will arrive, when the next general elections will be, what punishment goes with a specific fence, or how far apart two locations are, the list goes on.
God is thus attributed as “unchanging” and that is to provide a stable reference point for the believer to anchor their belief in his predictable nature and ability.
However, there is a caveat: even though his nature is unchanging, his ways of execution evolve from generation to generation. Thus, the manner in which dealings were executed may change over time. In other words, you could be left behind not because God changed, but because you failed to see what new things he was doing and how He was doing them.
You cannot simply expect new results if you continue doing things the old way. You would be largely disappointed if you set your expectations of life and of the kingdom using old templates and looking through old lenses. You stand to miss out on the whole kingdom agenda completely.
