We start each new year with targets and highlights we’d be happy to crown the year with. For many of us, the year gone by has whizzed past, unclear of what has happened. It feels some moments were skipped and some points in time lost. While some felt the year was dragging it’s feet, others found the pace too quick to catch up.
In the face of these contemplation, another year arrives-2025. Like the previous, it has similar number of days and time will flow the very same way. So tie up your shoe laces, and begin your race. You have to start, because only then will you have the initial momentum to move forward.
This is a Jubilee year, a year of hope. But it will also be a year with many contentions as we advance forward. So on this first day of the year, gird your loins, tie your laces and start your race. You are not walking alone, therefore “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”(2 Kings 6:16)
