HAVE YOU BEEN MADE?

DAY 95/366

Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

When you stay with the man Jesus, it shows because that “He makes you”. The evidence that you have stayed with Jesus, is that you will be made into what He has said you will be. The description ‘fishers of men’ was evident for all to see today with a boldness that could only come from having being with Jesus.

We are all commissioned with the Gospel, but we are all not going to be made “fishers of men”. Some will be made other things: civil servants, professionals, teachers, doctors, counselors, builders, captains of industries, financial gurus, beauty queens, experts of fields, academic bulldozers…the list is endless. But we know we know like clay in the potters hand, we can be made into anything.

What matters then is not the outcome, but the staying with Jesus because that is where men are made. When believers appear to just ‘show up’ out of thin air, with a dimension of boldness and mastery in an area that defies logic, look beyond and you will find men ‘who have camped with Jesus and have been made’.

One who has been made, has been “forged in the school of life in the Spirit and the Word, been effectively groomed in character modelled after Jesus, and stands boldly behind the victory of the cross. That is the description of those who have been made. So beloved, stay in the hands of the potter. You may not fully know what is being made, but you can be assured it will be a masterpiece. 

“To be made”, let the potter do His pottery, you stay as clay on the turntable”
