DAY 32/366

1 Kings 2:3 And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:
Prosperity across all dimensions: material, social, mental, or spiritual; fulfilment of promises and empowerment to reign in life all respond to one charge : obedience to the tenets of God.
In a search through the Scriptures, we will read the stories of individuals who walked in strange dimensions of wealth, influence, power and authority. Within all those lives, one trait that we identify is faith that was manifested through actions of obedience.
Abraham, offered to obey even when it meant offering up his only son, Isaac – his reward was descendants as the stars of heaven. Isaac was asked to stay put and sow in a land where famine abounded, he reaped a bountiful harvest for his obedience. Moses became like a god unto Pharoah, following his obedience to God’s instructions.
And our pattern man, Jesus, was obedient even unto death on a cross hence, His reception of a name above every other name. Make no mistake though, your obedience will cost you: comforts, sometimes shame, even death. However, the definitive guarantee of a life spent in obedience to God is a life of colour and beauty because obedience is a key that provokes strange moves of God.
