REMAIN CONNECTED TO THE VINE

DAY 93

John 12:10,11 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death; Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

All Lazarus was guilty of was that he had become a recipient of the life of God as He had been raised from the dead by Jesus. Therefore, by virtue of this, many had come to believe in Jesus and so the Chief Priests thought to kill Him. That seemed a bit extreme, but don’t think it’s impossible.

Opposition will not simply stand back and watch you influence the world for God just like that. They will rise to ensure your message is silenced. It is interesting then that Lazarus was sat at table with Jesus. He maintained connection with the source of his life.

The Psalmist sings a beautiful melody today: the Lord is my light and my Salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?(27:1)

Beloved, it is God’s commitment to preserve the glory he has given to you. He is the one to put a canopy over that glory which he has invested and made you custodian of. This is so you can continually direct your efforts to preaching the Gospel, impacting lives, and to keep on affecting the systems of this world for God.

Yours is to keep pressing forward but not forgetting to remain connected to the Jesus, author of life.
