DAY 54
Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
The future you desire is not a gift! When I heard that those words this afternoon, it hit me like a punch. But it resonated. Of course since we work and walk in partnership with the Holy Spirit, there will be elements in our lives: certain doors and windows that will open, particular connections opportunities that will inform you of the workings of another force well above and beyond our capacity as men.
However, do not be deceived: the future you desire will not be given to you as a gift. In fact, it cannot be given to you. Your tomorrow will be shaped as a product of the choices you make today. Moses offered to Israel options, but he advised on which was the better option to make by virtue of the days ahead of them. In effect, he was asking them to make choices that would shape the future of them and their offspring.
Often, we treat daily and present choices and decisions as mundane, regular things. Like drops of water that make up the ocean, we fail to appreciate that the accumulation of those choices become the deciding factor in the fulfilment of destiny tomorrow.
