SEASONS COME WITH NOTICES

DAY 46

Genesis 8:22 While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Personally, I do not like the cold and so would wish that we skipped that season of the year entirely. My ideal annual cycle would be spring, summer, autumn, then back to spring,  no winter after autumn. However, that is just my wishful thinking because every summer and its warm sunshine brings along with it a message from winter saying “I am coming”.

Some people would wish they could permanently stay only in specific seasons of life: seasons of abundance, seasons of goodness, seasons of harvest. Simply, that good days would last forever. However, every season comes with an advance notice of the seasons that follow. So for every season of harvest, seed time beckons.

The same is true for all seasons of life because in due course, each season must giveway to another. So as you journey through one season, don’t forget to prepare for the next because the seasons will change.
