DAY 30

Mark 5:15,17 When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons sitting there, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. Then they began to plead with Him to depart from their region.
It is quite interesting because hearing the story of the deliverance of this man, the words that came to mind were awe, wonder and authority. However, scripture records that those who observed it were “afraid”. In this state of mind, they asked Jesus to leave their territory. It mattered not what glad tidings or breakthroughs He had brought, He had to go.
On our journey through life, we will find ourselves surrounded by insecurities, our very own weaknesses, which eventually cripple and blind us in fear. In our fear, we actively push away good things as though they had come to harm us. We resist good opportunities, good situations and even people who may have been sent to assist us reach higher pedestals in life.
A quick reminder, therefore, to pay attention to your responses and reactions to the things that happen around you. Just so you’re not charged by fear to close the doors that are opened to usher you into new seasons of life.
