COMPLETE TRANSFORMATION

DAY 16

Mark 2:21 No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.

When ours mind are renewed, that transformation has to be translated into every other facet of our living: our walk, our talk, our work and our dealings with others. Anyone watching can therefore take a look and say ‘that is not like you’ or ‘I should not hear this from you’.

If they are not speaking from a sense of ‘you are different from the world, then it is because we are showing two faces, one of which is inconsistent with the message our lives are meant to preach, and the transformation we are meant to reflect.

Patching up an old garment with a new piece and storing new wine in old wine skins are an attempt at mixing. Unfortunately, there are things that are incompatible at all levels – one will show the other up.

The new creation we have become ought to become completely permeated by the Word of God. In this way, our lives will not become a compound of the old we are to leave behind and the new we have embraced. Let our transformation be complete.
