SOMETHING MORE THAN GOLD

DAY 13

Mark 2:4 When they were unable to get to Him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above Jesus; and when they had dug out an opening, they let down the mat on which the paralyzed man was lying.

Whenever you desire an answer to a question, you find out who has it. Knowing that, then you device a strategy to obtain this answer.  Whether via request, dialogue, through a third party or on occasion, by force. Regardless, your intention is to get the answer to your question one way or another.

In some instances, at the risk of something valuable, even one’s own life, some people are willing to wager that much if they can reach the person who has the solution they seek. Would you call that desperation? Passion? Zeal? Enthusiasm? Foolishness? bravado or just an adrenaline rush?

The four men who made a way through the roof to get the paralytic to Jesus would really care little about how we describe their actions because to them, Jesus was the answer and they had to meet Him.
Beloved, it takes a certain body of knowledge, a unique collection of encounters and experiences, to come to such concrete realisations and convictions.

To the point where you are willing to wager your all on one thing. Recall the parable of the man who discovered a pearl, sold all he had to buy it?(Matthew 13:45-46) That is the degree of knowledge we ought to come into about Jesus to cause us to appreciate that

‘if all we have is Jesus, then we’ve got something more than gold’ because regardless of the question, He is the answer.
