I had some learning from an event this morning, and share those three lessons:

Don’t become too confident with what you have and what you know that you stop learning and growing.

That is pride, because it raises you to the point where you think you have attained and have nothing more to gain. It could be the start of real trouble.

Don’t let hiccups cause you to give up your goal.

As much as a smooth road is ideal, life is littered with so many bumps along the way that only a liar would go as far as guaranteeing a smooth sailing ride. There are variables that no amount of preparation can make you ready to encounter. Regardless, press on.

Don’t be afraid to admit ‘that’s above me’

Just because you have succeeded doing something a certain way does not always guarantee the same outcome all the time. There are times when you will encounter situations in life where all the weapons in your arsenal will be insufficient to deal with. Those are the moments when wisdom will demand you to outsource the intelligence you do not have within.
