Luke 16:10 He who is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much; and he who is dishonest in a very little thing is also dishonest in much
It is always a dangerous thing to be given everything all at once because one requires the ability to sustain a particular threshold of capacity before some things can be entrusted to you. If you have not been diligent with a hundred, you have no reason going near a hundred thousand.
Without those training grounds, whatever good or even perfect gift you receive in any measure from God, whatever you are given wields the potential to destroy you. Whether it is ability, wealth, or relationships; If you have not acquired the requisite know-how to sustain things, every amount will be too big and will accelerate your downfall.
Think about it this way: you simply cannot and will not feel confident entrusting the management of a corporation turning over billions of pounds to a five-year old even if they were the sole heir. Saint Paul renders it in these words ‘What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he is the owner of everything (Gal 4:1)’
It takes maturity and learning, the gaining of a specific body of knowledge to be entrusted with anything. That is true across every realm: that of God and also of men. So get yourself ready- start preparing for the little so that when much comes, the learning would have been acquired.
