ACKNOWLEDGE THE GRACES OTHERS CARRY

282/365

Luke 11:31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

If there is the one thing people of this age dislike doing, it is acknowledging others. By definition, that means recognising first, the existence of and second, the importance of someone or something.

The Queen of Sheba had no qualms about travelling miles to acknowledge the wisdom Solomon possessed. The opening of her treasures after their encounter proved how much value she placed on his grace and gift.

For many however, to acknowledge what they do not possess but is found in another person, is to pose as being inferior. Hence, appreciating the importance of anyone or anything is below them. Instead, they would rather despise, demean, and dishonour.

Yet, here lies our reality check: we each cannot have everything, because the graces given to us, is according to measure. So what you do not possess, someone else does and the only way to become a partaker is to honour what graces or gifts the person carries.

You can simply not expect to benefit from a grace or gift whose existence and importance you do not acknowledge.
